Spot The Error

We’re going to play a little game to see if you can spot the error in the panel below. Today’s panel comes from Superman #3. The background that you need to know is that on the previous page, the weatherman said that the temperature was 84 degrees. Sorry for the poor picture quality. Am working on getting access to a scanner soon. Good luck, answer is below the break.
Did you figure it out? Here’s what the problem is.
In the picture, it shows that the temperature has dropped to -30 degrees, but the person on the news says that the temperature has dropped 50 degrees. A 50 degree drop would have resulted in the temperature being a positive 30 degrees, and not a negative 30 degrees. Not sure who is at fault with this mistake, being that the -30 makes more sense for the story, but this is something an editor should have caught.
